Athletics Course Dates Released For 2008 Summer Term

We have now listed all the Athletics Dates for the coming Summer Term of 2008. If you would like to attend one of these courses at a venue closest to yourselves please go to the 'Workshops' heading on the left hand side of the page and follow the links to find the information that you need.

We run Progressive Sports Teaching Workshops for Secondary School Teachers in:

A-Level PE, Athletics, Sportshall Athletics, Basketball, Cricket, Dance, Football, Gymnastics*, Hockey, Inclusive PE and Sport**, Netball, Rugby, Managing Incidents in Sports First-Aid,**, Trampolining*, Rugby Refereeing.

We also run Progressive Sports Teaching Workshops for Primary School Teachers in:

Gymnastics, Sportshall Athletics, Rugby, Hockey, Cricket

 BRITISH GYMNASTICS ACCREDITATION:

CONNECT SPORTS CONSULTANTS UK ARE PROUD TO SAY THAT WE RUN OUR GYMNASTICS AND TRAMPOLINING COURSES UNDER THE ACCREDITATION OF BRITISH GYMNASTICS.................

 The Level 1 workshop is FULLY RECOGNISED BY BRITISH GYMNASTICS and meets ALL LEA, PE ASSOCIATION AND GOVERNING BODY GUIDELINES.On completion of both the gymnastics and trampolining workshops the FULLY ACCREDITED British Gymnastics Teachers Award in Gymnastics will be awarded.

 COMPANY SWITCH:

Connect Sports has taken a change to be developed by new director Darren Hatton. For those of you who have been on some of Connect's courses the new Director will be familiar as Darren Hatton has been one of Connect's longest serving coaches in the athletics, basketball and Primary School Summer/Winter Sports workshops.

Although Connect Sports has now changed their name and colour from the original blue 'Connect Sports Consultants Ltd' to the now new red 'Connect Sports Consultants UK' please do not be alarmed as ALL OF YOUR PREVIOUS COURSES that you have attended will still be recognised along with all the certificates achieved. However, there will be a few changes which may affect a few people (please see at the bottom of the page).

Changes to Connect Sports Consultants UK:

1) There is a new booking procedure which gives a lot more information to not only our company, but also to yourselves aswell. Don't worry, it is still an easy process to book yourselves onto our courses!!!!!

2) Anybody who has attended any of our Level 1 and Level 2 trampolining courses has until August 31st 2008 to complete all 3 Level courses to achieve the British Gymnastics Accreditation. If this isn't achieved then you will have to start again with the Level 1 trampolining course starting September 1st 2008 to which you will have 1 year to complete all 3 Levels. So, every year from September 1st 2008 you will have exactly 1 year to complete the full award.

3) Anybody who has attended any of our Level 1 gymnastics courses has until August 31st 2008 to complete the 2 Level course to achieve the British Gymnastics Accreditation. If this isn't achieved then you will have to start again with the Level 1 gymnastics course starting September 1st 2008 to which you will have 1 year to complete the 2 Levels. So, every year from September 1st 2008 you will have exactly 1 year to complete the full award.

4) When booking on a course Connect Sports Consultants UK will now send you an email confirming that you have reserved a place on the course. It will still apply that 7-10 days before the course is due to commence you will also receive an email regarding confirmation of the course and the information regarding the course (ie. venue, times etc.). The acception to this would be if any progressive levels are run in close proximity, to which candidates may be informed of any developments closer to the time.

5) When booking onto a course you can see how many places there are available.

6) The address that is currently issued is one of temporary measure. Please make sure that you keep up to date with this change once it happens (it will be updated with a message bulletin).

7) Each Course that we run from September 2007 will have a '7 days before date' to give teachers notice of the running of the course. On this date we will decide if there are enough attendees and we will notify everybody via the email address given on your booking form. Connect Sports Consultants UK still has the right to cancel or reschedule our courses in the 7 days leading up to the course also. There are certain times where a course will have a number of attendees bordering on the course running/being cancelled. In these cases there may be an email sent out closer to the course scheduled date. Please do not hesitate to contact us here at Connect Sports Consultants UK if you are concerned about whether the course is taking place.

8) Any Connect Sports Consultants UK Course/Workshop that has taken place from 04/10/07 onwards will have a standard 56 days to make the payment 'from when the course/workshop took place'. If this is not adhered to then Connect Sports Consultants reserves the right to charge Statutory Interest at 8% above the Bank of England Base Rate on the overdue balances for the period from the date on which payment became due until the date on which the payment is made including any period after the date of any judgement or decree against the Customer.
