Connect Sports Consultants offer a unique approach to the training and education of physical education teachers. The foundations of our customised approach - realising teacher and pupil potential - are gained through extensive experience and professionally run sports teaching courses.

Connect Sports Consultants UK is a multi-faceted sports training company. Our workshops include Athletics, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Hockey, Gymnastics, Rugby, Sports First Aid, Trampolining as well as many many other areas. The company was founded by International athlete and Commonwealth Games Representative James Hillier, BSc, MBA in 2002 and has now been taken to a whole new level now by fellow International Athlete Darren Hatton, who has been involved with the running of the business from the very beginning.

Sport in the UK is a rapidly growing and now fully emerged market. The future of sport as we know it lies in grass roots sports and more specifically from our schools and our teachers. Without high quality enthusiastic PE teaching we would be unable to nurture the future sports stars of this country and with the now 'ever-looming' 2012 Olympic Games just around the corner it is very evident that sport has come to the forefront our minds.

Connect Sports Consultants UK understand the important influence that teachers have not only on our children's education, but also in preparing children for the transition from school sport to club sport and hopefully in some exceptional cases to bigger and better things. Our teaching courses are pitched at all teachers from the newly qualified, looking to expand their knowledge and teaching skills having completed a PGCE, to very experienced teachers, looking to learn the latest teaching techniques and strategies or getting a fantastic refresher.

The team at Connect Sports Consultants UK understand the difference between a coaching situation and a teaching situation. We understand and appreciate the difficulties faced by teachers on a regular basis. We know that there are standards and codes of ethics to adhere to and meet. We also understand that a numerous facilities and equipment are sub-standard. We also appreciate that there are often disruptive pupils and children of all abilities in the same class. All of our courses address these problems and highlight useful and intuitive teaching strategies to address and effectively overcome them.

The emphasis of the Progressive Sports Teaching Workshops is on relevance to teaching and in simplicity. After having gone on one of our workshops, teachers will immediately be able to confidently, enthusiastically and safely deliver the key teaching points of the relevant subject area to large and varying standards of pupils. The nature of the teaching of sport is that if it is made very complicated then pupils switch off and enthusiasm can be lost. The team at Connect Sports Consultants understand that PE teachers cannot be a world expert on every sport; we therefore focus our skills on developing and addressing the key teaching points in each area or sport to ensure that the most effective and enthusiastic teaching medium is created.
